Audio Technica CN5625AL .7 mil Conical Half-inch Standard Mount Cartridge Reviews
I recently decided to take my old system out of storage and stat playing very old records I had. I really didn't listen to vinyl in years. I was using an old Scott Table. I started to listen and the sound was going in and out, right away, I thought it is the needle and this AT was the cheapest I found. after receiving it I hooked it up and to my surprise it sounded the same...duh... so I pulled up and old Hitachi table and hooked it up to the system...you are right, the same thing. I took the table and hooked it up to my surround sound system ( Onkyo receiver and Bose speakers) and it sounded OK, Then I plugged up the Scott table with the old needle and they both sounded similar. I found the sound from this cartridge satisfying but not good. The base was a little flat and the highs a little scratchy but yet I gave it 4 stars because I think it is a good value. all in all happy with the cartridge.

Fine for the money - A. IZOLD - CFO, Ohio, USA
I bought this to replace an old A-T cartridge, and I'm using it to archive vinyl as WAV files and CDs. The sound quality if fine, but not exceptional. (What do you expect for around ?) The tracking is good as well. I'm not unhappy with it, but I think I'll spend a bit more next time...
